Stockholm, Sweden & Boston, MA – Detectify, a Swedish domain and web application security company, is launching its US operations in Boston, Massachussets. The company achieved 3x revenue growth in 2018 and the launch of the Boston office will further accelerate growth in the US market.
Founded in 2013 by a group of top-ranked ethical hackers, Detectify has grown to 60+ employees and is trusted by customers like Spotify, Trello and KING. The company is backed by Insight Venture Partners, Inventure and Paua Ventures.
Detectify uses automation to scan web applications and domains websites for security issues, leveraging the crowdsourced knowledge of white-hat hackers to help customers stay on top of security. Detectify Crowdsource, a global ethical hacker network, allows security researchers to submit vulnerabilities that are then built into the service as new security tests.
Detectify’s CRO Carl Svantesson said: “Organizations in the US are pioneering new tech and new tech requires new approaches to security. Detectify already has a strong customer base with 30% of revenue in the US and launching sales operations in Boston will enable us to be closer to customers and better understand the needs of the market.”
With a strong background in business development, Wilder Parks III will lead Detectify’s US expansion as the US Head of Sales and build the Boston office: “We’re bringing an amazing team and culture that is set out to make the internet safer. We are not your typical “you need to fix this or you are at risk and can lose millions”, we take a more educational approach and allow companies to be preventative rather than reactive and get ahead of the curve.”
“The United States is home to some of the world’s most security-conscious organizations and talented ethical hackers. The demand for bleeding edge security solutions is growing and we are opening our Boston office to enhance our local market presence and accelerate growth,” said Rickard Carlsson, Detectify’s CEO.
Detectify is a key player in the web application and domain security field, offering an automated vulnerability scanning service to help organizations stay on top of threats. The company’s network of white-hat hackers allows customers to access cutting-edge security research and scan their websites for the latest vulnerabilities.
